Dr. Erin Anthony, native of Jacksonville, FL, has been a lifelong champion of all things children and healthy childhood growth and development. The past 25+ years of her life have been devoted to loving children to a better place. As such, she champions a strong educational foundation, discipline and the appropriate display of behavior, high expectations that result in achievement, character development, mental and emotional health, independence, safety and wellness, and early leadership skills attainment on behalf of the children she serves.
Educationally, Dr. Anthony received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Florida (2004), her Master of Arts In Teaching Varying Exceptionalities/Special Education from the University of South Florida (2008), and her doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Professional Practices from Trevecca Nazarene University (2023). In 2023, Dr. Anthony also earned a certificate in Trauma-Informed Leadership through the Continuing Education Program of the University of North Florida.
Having worked in various capacities relating to children, including children in the child welfare system, the juvenile justice system, immigrant/refugee children, children in the special education system, and children with histories of developmental trauma, she has grown in her ability to effectively advocate for the whole child and to move children from one place in their life to the next. She is the founder and executive director of Little Hands, Big Hearts Little People’s Service Organization, a service organization dedicated to growing little people (primary-aged children, ages 3-9) into servant leaders through community service, volunteering, and community-based service projects. Through her organization, she has become a conduit for reaching, training, and developing families in trauma-responsiveness.
