Youth leadership development with a servant leadership twist from the whole child perspective.
Our Why/Mission:

The mission of Little Hands, Big Hearts Little People's Service Organization is to develop little people into servant leaders who think beyond themselves for the greater good through explicit and intentional opportunities for character development, selfless service to others, and community-based volunteering.
Our What/Purpose:
​
Emphasizing the intentional healthy development of the whole child, this cohort seeks to provide opportunities for children to develop into future servant leaders by addressing and mitigating issues that impact children educationally/academically, mentally, socially/emotionally, financially, behaviorally, and physically.
Our How/Action Plan:

Career Exploration Series
Monthly family-friendly web series featuring various speakers from both traditional and non-traditional career options available to children from a representational perspective.
Pre/Early Post-Secondary Options Exploration
Bi-monthly experiential learning opportunity at a post-secondary institution.
Child-Impacting Informational Sessions
Monthly informational session focusing on issues impacting children (i.e., child mental health, resilience).
Serve Days/Service Projects/Community-Bsed Volunteering
Family-friendly community-based service opportunities serving various vulnerable populations.
Professional Group/Individual Tutoring Services
Available to all cohort participants who meet monthly participation expectations.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention/TBRI Sessions
Tier 1 trauma-responsive intervention focused on healing through healthy relationship.

DETAILS

Carefully selected inaugural cohort of 10 children, ages 3-9 (little leaders), 10 children, ages 10-13 (junior leaders), AND 10 children , ages 14-18 (teen leaders).

Incentivized participation for both children and parents.

Maximum exposure, minimal/no cost.

One school year commitment (August, 2024-June, 2025)

Most in-person commitment for participation is 1x/month.

Emphasis on student leadership character development.
REQUIREMENTS

Both parent/guardians and child be committed to growth and development.

Participate in monthly activities to earn leadership badge.

Participate in monthly goal-setting and accountability checks for academics

No minimum grades/GPA to be accepted; upward growth required to continue.
