From a Kid to a Kid: Dream Children's Home (Ngong Hills) and Good Samaritan Children's Home (Maathare); Kenya

In March of 2022, Ms. Nikki (our founder) traveled to Kenya for a mission trip. Part of the trip was spent at The Dream Children’s Home, an orphanage in the Ngong district of Nairobi. They currently serve 150 children of all ages. Ms. Zipporah is the director. Her heart is so big and so full of love for the children who reside there. In December of 2022, we had the honor of adding Good Samaritan Children's Home, headed by Mama Mercy Thuo (pictured in the YouTube video), as a partner.

To date, we have been able to provide three laptops, food, and school supplies to both orphanages. Stay tuned though; there's more that will be done. If there’s one thing LHBH will always do, it’s invest in the future by investing in children. That said, this small gift was one of many that we will make to support the work being done in Kenya. If you’d like to support, here are a few of the most pressing needs they have: food, feminine products for the girls, hygiene products, and shoes. We have partnered with Global Development Project (GDP), boots on the ground in Nairobi, to provide funding towards the needs. That said, 100% of donations made towards Kenya will go directly to supporting the needs of the orphanages that GDP oversees.
